Freshman year there should be some long term assignments that need planning. What you find out about what they think they should do may be eye opening. My kid thought he just had to listen to the material in his math class to do well. I had to explain to him that just because he understands a concept does mean he's prepared for the test. He has to do practice problems. Well maybe not in Algebra (for him anyway, but PreCalc would be harder) Also, if they are behind on math, get on that stat. It builds. [/quote]
