Also, in addition to Beanie Babies, my mom once had this idea that she could buy up all the chenille blankets she saw on eBay for like a year and somehow sell them back to the network that produced the show “Homefront” in the 90s … literally she was kind of delusional.

I did however inherit all those blankets which have a really interesting history. But as textiles they aren’t going to last forever and I had like 40 of them.

Now I cover the couches with them and when they start ripping apart I make them into dog blankets. They are like 80 years old and not uncommon. Like quilts.

Either use them or lose them.

Also I let my cats scratch the shit out of these 30 yo couches. I enjoy the cats more. [/quote]
