Since the cut off is 85% many students struggle in the AIM classes and the teachers have to go at a slower pace to make sure everyone catches up. My kid finishes the work soon and is bored in class. Kid is keeping himself engaged at home by doing Khan Academy.

School looks run down but the teachers and admin are good.

Not much PTA involvement so not much fun stuff for the kids due to lack of funding

Kid made friends so will be finishing out 8th grade there. I suggested withdrawing but he wanted to continue.

If your kid wants to do medicine, there is an extra science class.

If your kid is into Math and CS, you would be better off in your home school. Magnet in name only.
