Op here. This is something new. I had one with same practice 3 years ago but a different doctor and those instructions did not have Gas-X the morning of procedure.

One thing I noticed was immediately after the procedure, I was in pain without the gas-x, but after a few hours I was fine.

But with gas-x I was fine immediately after the procedure but then the pain did not go away until the next night and I had to take Tylenol.

NP. Gas-x was part of the instructions at my old practice as well. I took 4 total, I think, in between SuTab doses. It helped and was way better than previous preps. New doc here in DC — close to retirement age — doesn’t have a modern mindset and had an incredibly outdated-seeming prep guide. I used the prep guide from previous practice and all was fine.[/quote]
