I think the PP was getting at the fact that religion class is required, and therefore that lowers the students' overall course load rigor. We heard that refrain a lot when DD was at an independent religious school.  Some years the required religion course was indeed an easier class, but she/we appreciated that because she was taking all honors and AP level classes. Other years, it was more of a philosophy class with a lot of writing and analysis etc. [/quote]
