Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) invites families to join us for a series of in-person community engagement sessions focused on upcoming boundary studies and the secondary programs analysis. These conversations will help shape how students across the county access academic programs and schools in the years ahead.

Why this matters to you:
Families with students in Grades 6 and 7 will be among the first to experience the full impact of these changes. This is an important opportunity to learn, ask questions, and share your voice as we plan for the future together. The proposed model would allow MCPS students to pursue major academic pathways—whether in science, math and technology, humanities, medical science, world languages, leadership and public service, or visual and performing arts—at their home school or one of the high schools in their region, without spending hours on the bus every day.

Families and students at all grade levels can attend and learn about this important work.

Wednesday, October 30 | 7–8 p.m.

Language Access and Inclusion:

All are welcome at this event—families from every part of the region and beyond.

There will be two simultaneous sessions at Kennedy:

One in English with interpretation available.

One held entirely in Spanish, ensuring an equally full and engaging experience for Spanish-speaking families.

Program analysis information will target families of Grade 6 and 7 students, yet informative for all.

Bilingual Family Engagement Specialists will be on hand to help with conversational interpretation during discussion sessions[/quote]
