My understanding is that if an athlete plays at a school that opts into the new structure (i.e., the House settlement), then he/she is free to cut their own marketing deals. If a local car dealership in State College PS is wants to pay a sophomore LSM for his endorsement, then good for them. but unless your name is something like Kavanaugh or Big Tasty, I expect those deals will be hard to find for lacrosse players.
