Instead of a perfectly rational explanation to their kids that either: a) an international trip inside warranted for their skill level or b) an international trip is not possible given the families current financial circumstances (which a preteen should understand with a politics and current affairs discussion), they blamed DCSC. We all got 99 problems but an international soccer trip ain’t one. If they were smart, they would dig into their savings and head over to Barnes and Noble and pick up Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink or anything that will help them learn how to have difficult internal and external conversations.
