He tried to get a pediatrician appointment, but his pediatrician's office was still closed today, so he stayed home with his son. And he's not the type to take off unnecessarily. He had to take off a lot of time recently because he was going to be in a use-it-or-lose-it situation, so he took a number of half-days to cut down his vacation overage.
