She's your household employee. If you pay her more than $1000 you have to pay household employee tax. You can fold this into your regular income tax payment every year. Then you give your nanny a W2, though you don't have to withhold her taxes for her. We spent years not doing it for ours, but eventually did at the request of one of them. OP it's really not that hard. We did it all ourselves using spreadsheets and TurboTax.[/quote]
