For all the ones whose college kids have income upstairs, if you are full pay and your college students are not qualified for work-study, how much can they earn in their part time job on campus?
It depends on the school. My kids attend(ed) WAS/ivy with very large endowment per student. Both schools make a point of having part time jobs for any student who wants one, though work study gets priority of course. There are usually paid student jobs that are not filled due to lack of demand. The most desirable tend to be weight room or library desk at $12 per hour, 6-8 hrs a week because you can get work done. The highest paid tend to be learning-assistant jobs for undergrads which are earn up to $3k a semester depending. Caveat is have to be an A student to be invited and it can be a lot of hours, and the earliest one can do it is sophomore year. There are also paid research assistant jobs in many departments.
