I said in my Holistic interview when I retire I want to join a paid Board or two and asked how to do that.

I got well it should be planned pre-retirement and company sponsors a few golf outings where you can make connections. I can let you go to once  or twice a year. I then said I don’t play golf and I always wanted to learn. Something I wanted to take up in retirement. I get CFO lives near you why don’t you see if he will take you out he is always looking for people to play with as relocated here for work and does not know people.

That’s holistic. And if I get decent the Board does a golf thing after annual meeting and if somewhat decent I could go to that as they let a few members of mgt go.

How would my CEO know I want to learn Golf and join a board in retirement without  asking me what I want and me speaking up.

This is the problem people think it is fad or gimmick
