The 2 hard core MAGAs that I know grew up in families of divorce and had very strong mother - head of household - figures in their lives. Having known them most of my life I think they think Trump, for some strange reason, represents the “idyllic” 1950s childhood they never had, but obviously, never will.  And this seems strange to me that they see an old, mysogenistic, crass white guy as their role model instead of their strong mothers who in the end supported their families. So maybe it does have something to do with daddy issues. [/quote]

You would think single moms would raise super feminist children but that isn’t typically the case. A lot of men get the idea that it’s the mom’s fault that the dad left and proceed to hate women. [/quote]
