If you haven’t come to consider where you’ve been living for decades as your “home,” then that’s a self-inflicted “you” issue.

We moved here in the late 80s.  We raised our kids here.  They went away to college and came back.  They’re raising their kids here.  Many of their friends are also still here.  Many of their friends’ parents are also.  This IS home so far as many of us are concerned.  [/quote]
