I just received a letter from UHC saying CWC will no longer be part of its network. Any chance this will be resolved, or should I request my file now and scramble to find a new GYN? This sucks.
If you’re expecting now, request your file. If you’re not delivering before 2026, change insurance.
I’m not currently pregnant, and I’m not switching insurance. Our coverage is excellent and this is the first time in 20+ years that I’ve ever encountered a situation like this. Honestly, I’m wondering if CWC is the problem. The last few times I’ve been in, they’ve been pushing boutique services (in house mammograms, ozempic, etc.). Weird. I bet they are trying to go the boutique route…which is strange because it often feels like they serve a lot of young moms on Medicaid.
Then change providers? It shouldn’t be a scramble if you’re not pregnant? If you’re insurance is “excellent” you should have no trouble finding a practice (though like others I think in this area no one considers United to be excellent!)
