Maybe you liked the religious resurgence that you felt and are now suspecting that it was mainly a positive reaction to this particular pastor.

Are you more "into the church" than religious?  Do you like the camaraderie more than you believe in the tenets of the religion?  [b]Tough questions[/b], but now is the time to think about them.
