Nothing. We're all home now from a long day and to top things off, DH waited for the cable company to come for a 2-4 window. They texted at 2:35 pm with an automated message saying they were on their way. It's now 8:00 pm and they are definitely not on their way. This appointment has been rescheduled and passed around to various divisions 3 times already and DH intentionally scheduled his work week around it. The next 6 weeks we alternate work travel and have zero flexibility to reschedule this appointment.

When it rains, it pours. My DD is making me eat my feelings and offered leftover candy from birthday party treat bags. I'm having something that's like Fun Dip but shaped like a baby bottle.[/quote]

It was kind of you to write this! I feel a tiny bit better knowing that even a random stranger can recognize the commitment of time and energy that I made to this Board.

I actually met with the new chair and this year's vice chair on-site at dinner time to transfer some final files and drive links, and there was a flower arrangement on the table in a travel box from the florist. I thought for a brief moment that maybe they were planning to stage a private thank you think and I felt a flurry of being annoyed that it was late and also relieved and embarrassed that I'd vented here for no reason.
