Since Trump constantly talks or tweets about “radical left-wing lunatics” who “want to destroy this country,” he is practically putting a bullseye on Democrats. He also bad mouths Blue states constantly, further adding fuel to the fire. I mean, it’s not Rwanda yet, but he is constantly and actively stoking hatred for non-Maga in his followers in a way that exacerbates political tensions. Who knows what will happen with another 3 1/2 years of this. He never shuts up.
This kind of one-sided analysis is stupid. Tell the truth about the rhetoric and dog whistles on both sides. Your safety literally depends on it. Unless enough people on both sides reestablish the norm that no one gets to incite, justify, or commit violence for any reason, this country is toast. Take it from an immigrant.
It already is. We are on the downward slide and I don't know what can stop it. So much of the wealth and power is in the hands of so few. The media makes money by having people be angry and afraid. Working people all over the country are impacted by voter turnout in a small handful of places. And our country is VERY, VERY saturated with guns. How long the slide lasts and how horrible and violent it is (or hopefully isn't) remains to be seen, but this is not sustainable. The American experiment has run its course.
