Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz urges fellow Democrats to get "meaner" The governor says his party needs to be meaner. "I'm getting called out on this because I called Donald Trump a wannabe dictator. It's because he is. It's because he is. 'Oh, the governor's being mean and the governor's speaking out on that.' Maybe it's time for us to be a little meaner. Maybe it's time for us to be a little more fierce," he said.
I agree. Look where going high when they go low got us. The political climate has changed. Politics now isn't the same as when Obama was running or in office. Everything changed after Trump 1.0 and so much more is fair game now than ever before. Also, Trump has opened the door for revenge politics, so our next Democratic President needs to keep up that energy. Dish out some revenge politics just like Trump has done. He opened the door, so we need to go through it, and then shut it mid-cycle and make sure we get 8 years of a Democratic President to reset things. But we cannot take office in 2028 and keep up the "go high when they go low" energy. It doesn't work anymore.
