Surrounding area of the main Bronx campus looks very unsafe at first glance but I have not heard of incidents.  Police presence (current and former NYPD not just campus police) is like a cordon.  
Arthur Ave is a vibrant Italian neighborhood even to this day with fantastic restaurants and great places for students to go. 
Easy access to Manhattan which students take advantage of. 
The majority of students are likely from the tri state area but it’s not a commuter school.

I would have been proud and happy if my son attended Fordham, but the price tag was too high for us. [/quote]

They give good merit, especially if you are a NMSF (you don’t need Finalist status). [/quote]
