Not a commuter school at all.
Not “surprisingly good”.
Fordham has always been a good school. Definitely has a very strong alumni network in the NYC area.
Beautiful campus.
Jesuit.
Surrounding area of the main Bronx campus looks very unsafe at first glance but I have not heard of incidents. Police presence (current and former NYPD not just campus police) is like a cordon.
Arthur Ave is a vibrant Italian neighborhood even to this day with fantastic restaurants and great places for students to go.
Easy access to Manhattan which students take advantage of.
The majority of students are likely from the tri state area but it’s not a commuter school.
Smart kids, I’m a fan
Listen to this person. Fordham is a wonderful place. Very strong identity, outstanding internship opportunities, smart, hard-working kids.
I would have been proud and happy if my son attended Fordham, but the price tag was too high for us.
They give good merit, especially if you are a NMSF (you don’t need Finalist status).
My likely NMSF is planning to apply. We unexpectedly fell in love with it on the tour.

Anonymous wrote:I don’t see how Fordham is a commuter school when 60% of its student population is from out of state. While I’m sure some percentage from NY commute, it’s still a relatively small number. Fordham is very much a residential college.
