I am a man and I don’t have any problems with traditional feminism at all. Equality and removing structural barriers that were based on gender alone were neccessary and long overdue changes to our society. The main thing that bothers me today is how it all played out. Rather than creating a more feminine society that prioritizes family and a balanced home/work life we ended up with women who started to act like the worst men. We needed a softer society and we ended up with the opposite.
No, we do not need a “softer” society. That is exactly what we have now and it’s a disaster on many levels
So what are you suggesting? That we go back to the 50s when men were men and women were relegated to just being wives and mothers? I know too many women of that generation who got married and had kids because that's what was expected of them, including my mother and my friend's mother, and they had no choice. They were miserable. I'm very glad that I (gen xer) and my DD Gen Z have choices.
I’m also glad we have choices. Only problem I see is that many women don’t respect those who made a different choice than their own.
