They are looking for the best students, many of whom have been honed from birth via $$ investment, including private schools. They are also looking for diamonds in the rough, students who show very high promise despite a clear lack of investment and support. Donut hole kids -- from middle class and upper middle class families -- do not get much attention here. Below the T20, especially for private colleges, aid is not as extensive and the focus on full-pay students because they are full pay is more intentional. [/quote]
