I guess if you see some rando useless skills or degree related to ngo work in Africa on gay chameleons.[/quote] oh eff off. the economy is in the toilet, most companies are not hiring, and federal work was supposed to be the safe and steady work choice. so there are a lot of risk averse people, who were the safety net for other people, suddenly facing a lot of risk themselves and with no safety net. i've been through a lot of layoffs in the private sector, and watched people tumble from solidly middle class to homeless in the space of a year. it's terrifying. and for GOOD contractors, no, changing jobs often is not expected.
