so if i were to approach you to take DS so he'd continue to be on the same team, for the 3rd year, with his best buddy from church (a 2nd grader and only 10-mo younger) whom otherwise wouldn't have a chance to play sports together, how would you convince me to drop the request? tks.[/quote]
First I would look at the other kid and see if maybe he could play up. If that couldn't happen, I would start by reminding you about league rules then I would discuss the fact that your kid might get bored playing with the little kids since it is his third year and that when he does move up with or without his friend he will be behind skillwise with the people his own age. [b]Also since he is older and probably bigger there is a strong possibility that he could inadvertly hurt someone smaller.[/b][/quote]
