Anyone who tries to stop me as I walk in the street. It's automatic "I don't even know you are here and won't acknowledge you". Btdt stopping.
lol Laughing because just yesterday, I stopped a woman who dropped cash behind her. She was so grateful! I guess if I had tried that with you and you’d ignored me then I would’ve picked up the cash and gone on with my day.
Definitely. I've had too many bad experiences younger and it sucked the kindness out of me when it comes to these situations.
I’m sorry about that! It would never occur to me to not stop somebody on the street to try and help them. I guess it just goes to show how different experiences shape out outlook. But now I’m very curious what that experiences you had?
Scammers mostly, creepy men too. Now I don't engage at all to find out. I was in Montreal recently and this 50ish yo random man tried to stop me as I was walking with my kids asking if I speak French (I do). Why would he single me out of all people on a very busy street? It was very odd and I pretended I could not hear him. Because I am a short, petite harmless-looking woman and seem kind (which I am, but not to strangers in this context anymore), I have to protect myself more and watch out.
