Laughing because just yesterday, I stopped a woman who dropped cash behind her. She was so grateful!

I’m sorry about that! It would never occur to me to not stop somebody on the street to try and help them. I guess it just goes to show how different experiences shape out outlook.

Scammers mostly, creepy men too. Now I don't engage at all to find out. I was in Montreal recently and this 50ish yo random man tried to stop me as I was walking with my kids asking if I speak French (I do). Why would he single me out of all people on a very busy street? It was very odd and I pretended I could not hear him. Because I am a short, petite harmless-looking woman and seem kind (which I am, but not to strangers in this context anymore), I have to protect myself more and watch out.[/quote]
