Default metal color is grey or silver. The eye and the mind doesn't catch on that color. It's a pain to rehang doors. The hinges will probably never change. I loathe brass hardware on interiors. I think black door hardware only suitable IF your windows are highly visible at the same time you are looking at the door. Like in a big open living room.[/quote]
