I did a year where I focused on Indigenous authors recently. These were my favorite novels. The Seedkeeper by Diane Wilson Even As We Breathe by Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle Ceremony by Leslie Silko Moon on the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice and anything by Louise Erdrich
Recently got to visit Louise Erdrich’s wonderful bookstore in Minneapolis with my daughter. A cosy neighborhood place that has a special focus on indigenous authors. A highlight for sure! Women Talking was great and set in the culture of a Mennonite community. More a philosophy and debate book. Also a type of meditation.
