That’s the point. They don’t fly to Europe. They gas up the car and go camping in a national park (no rangers) or to visit Nana (high gas prices) or to rent a shack at a third rate beach (high food prices, high entertainment prices and high gas prices).  And this summer, that might not happen. Costs are up.  Consumer confidence is down. And people aren’t spending because they are afraid of inflation and job loss. So, the camping trip or beach shack won’t happen. Neither will the Barbie’s at Christmas. At that point, they are well past patience with “short term pain”. Especially if they are out of work and food bank money is gone, and Medicaid is gone, but billionaires got their tax cut. [/quote]
