Absolutely NOT normal. Who are these women who say, by your 40's it is perfectly normal to be exhausted by 6pm? You may have low or high blood pressure (because of the light headedness). You may have low thyroid - because of your evening exhaustion. Or you may have some other problem that is solvable. Any change in your daily habits is a problem worth looking in to. Y'all, we are going to live to 100 and you are all saying, for the next half of your life, go to sleep at 6??
I’m 50 and really looking after my heath in a way I never did when younger. I sleep more, eat better, exercise smarter, work smarter, avoid emotional energy sapping situations. I don’t go to bed at 6 but I would love to sleep at 9. I sleep at 10:30 and may make it earlier once the kids move out. If I have 50 years left, I don’t need to go around exhausted all the time. At some point, I just stopped fighting all of the shoulds/mental stuff and did what my body needs as the saying goes. I need to make sure the hours I am awake are the best they can be.
