I’m embarking on my first 36-hour fast today. I’ve done IF in the past, and some OMAD, but I think I need a longer fast to kickstart weight loss. Anyone BTDT? I could use all the words of encouragement!
Depending on how old are you and how active, it is good for you. I've done it. 36 hours means you're just fasting one full day and wait to break the fast till next morning. To lose weight you'd need to repeat that though. Maybe once a week. We often eat when we aren't hungry, when it is just a clock saying it's time. This will put you in touch with what hunger really feels like. It doesn't feel bad at all. Stay away from the kitchen, stay busy. Listen to a book or a podcast to keep your mind occupied and interrupt that internal dialogue trying to convince you that you cannot do this. Exercise first thing in the morning. I found it didn't make me hungrier, and a good way to keep busy.
