We are a family that is not interested in bragging rights.

The magnet at Eastern was a life changing experience for our DC. It stoked her intellectual curiosity. The friends she made there have been lifelong. She learned to write in a way that was critical to her success in HS, college and grad school.  The writing instruction at Eastern is at a level above that offered in any MCPS middle school and all but the IB HS programs. Eastern is a unique opportunity. As long as your kid likes history and reading, and has an open mind in terms of racial and socioeconomic diversity, it will be a good experience.

Bus is long but kids socialize, have down time or do homework.

Will your kid be OK at Pyle?  Yes, of course.
