I’m trying to lose weight and recently started Weight Watchers. Tracking my food intake and choices has been very eye opening. I’m not getting enough protein for one thing (I work out regularly including light weight lifting). I’m trying to increase protein throughout the day, but some days I get to the end and haven’t had very much protein, so I am thinkingl drinking a protein shake around 8pm could be one last burst of protein for the day. Does anyone have a recommendation for a protein powder that is relatively healthy and not overloaded with sugars. Thank you.
I just posted, but also you don't want to be ingesting anything that late. For digestion and weightloss, you really want to finish eating by sundown. The more unprocessed foods you eat, the easier it will be to lose weight and the more variety of vegetables and fruits you eat the better your signalling between gut and brain and your immunity improves too. Another idea is to have some protein bursts in the freezer: turkeymeatloaf muffins, lean meatballs, eggmuffins made with cottage cheese and various herbs, tofu loaf, etc. It helps when you are really hungry and need a quick fix.
