Are you having issues? or are you just neurotic?
Just neurotic :) I’m usually not, but I had a lot of first trimester issues that started things off on the wrong foot, and thinking through plans for different scenarios helps my anxiety. Thought the thread might be useful for other women, too.
You should get professional help. This isn't normal. Your doctor would know what to do in the case of a micro preemie. Don't waste time on this.
So… unlike some other posters expressing similar sentiments, you are phrasing this in a rude and off-putting way. You also have no idea about my situation or history. Like how I couldn’t get anyone on the phone when I miscarried one twin in the middle of the night, or how I was diagnosed later that same day with a potentially terminal illness myself which means I likely can’t get pregnant again. Despite all of this, I’ve barely missed a day of work, I’m enjoying the baby wiggles in my belly as I decorate a nursery, and I’m still taking time to smell the spring flowers. I’d hope you’d cope as well in the same situation. For all you know, I’m also already getting professional help. But I think it’s pretty rude of you to go there so curtly, and call my question “a waste of time” just because I’m curious about which hospitals have good NICUs and am able to laugh at myself for being a little neurotic about this.
