As for the Justice Department, it is an Executive Branch agency under the purview of the President of the United States. The judiciary doesn't hold anyone accountable. It interprets the law, and when it gets that interpretation wrong, higher courts reverse. However, there are clear delineations of power within the Constitution itself, which each of the co-equal branches of government must respect.[/quote]
