Checking your weight every day is counterproductive. I've found that I have to eat less to maintain my weight in my 50s----like skipping lunch or breakfast entirely. Consider adding resistance training to your exercise routine.
+1 Same. I never eat breakfast anymore, unless you count coffee with a splash of milk. Lunch is a small portion of leftovers or crackers with peanut butter and fruit. Dinner is normal as before but no dessert. I used to be able to eat 2 breakfast tacos; lunch was sandwich smothered in mayo with chips and fruit; dinner same as now, plus a bowl of icecream. That was 10 years ago. Now much less food and 12 lbs heavier. Plus I have to take thyroid medication now. Hormonal changes really change your metabolism as you get older. It's not just calories in calories out anymore. Sleep also impacts hormones. Btw- I'm also 5'4" and 127lbs. I look ok, maybe even good for 50. If I can maintain this, I'd be happy. I've put my 112-115lbs days in my past.
