The fact that you think it's better to keep someone in prison for the rest of their lives (on our dime), or maybe even give them a light sentence because they probably had a valid reason to do what they did, or had a traumatic childhood or some such and "oooh he's a human and his life has value" - after he decided to kill two innocent people, tells me there is something seriously wrong with you.[/quote]

DP, but some of us don’t support the death penalty because we’ve demonstrably gotten it wrong sometimes.

As long as our justice system is flawed, which it always will be because human beings are involved, I’d prefer to stick with reversible punishments.[/quote]
