She's solidly in the middle of senate democrats -- of the major nominees, voted against 8, did not cast a vote on 1, and voted for 4.

It's actually very smart for someone who actually wants to get things done. Position yourself as someone who is not on the fringe, maybe set yourself up to make some friends and work on some bipartisan bills, and don't make yourself an easy target. My guess is that she has bigger ambitions and is trying to play her cards right. It's not like her votes on any of these nominees actually mattered, so it was very low risk to vote in favor of some of them.[/quote]
