I liked her when I met her a couple times during the campaign.

But her campaign was kind of lackluster. I tried to volunteer to go door to door and couldn't figure out how. Signed up on the volunteer tab on the website, email the info email to ask how to volunteer, gave my contact info to someone at the door of a fundraiser asking them to give it to a field worker because I hadn't been contacted yet to volunteer, sent an email asking where the campaign offices were so I could show up (no response other than an email sending me the volunteer sign up I'd already signed up for months earlier.)

Then in Sept or so I got a postcard telling me to sign up on the volunteer link.
Um, already done that, and no one has contacted me.

I've volunteered on campaign in six different states. Never had this much trouble. Finally I just gave up.

Regardless, she is better than any extra Republican in Congress right now...as much as I like Hogan for governor and voted for him for governor,....couldn't put him in Congress with a Republican dictator.

You do know that bipartisan support for cabinet nominees is typical, right? Only during the Trump admins have Democrats broken that tradition.

It's actually very smart for someone who actually wants to get things done. Position yourself as someone who is not on the fringe, maybe set yourself up to make some friends and work on some bipartisan bills, and don't make yourself an easy target. My guess is that she has bigger ambitions and is trying to play her cards right. It's not like her votes on any of these nominees actually mattered, so it was very low risk to vote in favor of some of them.

I doubt she knows where the bathroom is. Contrary to popular opinion, there's a lot to learn in the Senate. I am sure she and Van Hollen are communicating and he is advising her.
