[/quote] I learned a long time ago that I just don’t have the sense of smell that other people do. I have some relatives who are very sensitive to smells that I can just barely detect. I think the same thing may apply to the taste of leftovers. I don’t mind eating leftovers, but my spouse can’t stand it. There are a few things I think taste even better as leftovers than when they were just prepared. Chili tastes better the next day. My zucchini bread and pumpkin muffins are more moist the day after baking. Rum balls have more flavor a day or two after they were made. When I host Thanksgiving, I make things like mashed potatoes, dressing, and vegetables the day of, but I make the cranberry salad and desserts the day before. [/quote]
