We did one week there and wish we’d had ten days. Truly an amazing city. Pyramids just outside of town, canal boats with floating mariachi bands and women cooking in these little boats, world class museums (the museum of Anthropology!!!!), great gardens, excellent food, super friendly people (but also cosmopolitan, and they were never shocked or surprised that we spoke Spanish, eg). It felt no more dangerous than NYC. I have a friend whose mom lives there- and she grew up there- and I think the traffic and the crime are more of an issue if you live there. It is SUCH a great place to visit. We all already want to go back. [/quote]
