That's why they are here - to bash someone to make then feel momentarily better. Of course the kid can make the call! Do it from the college counseling office. Do it after 3:15. Do it after hours and leave a message. Do it on an obscure holiday when college admissions is open. Write an email saying "is my file complete?" but parents should never make such simple contacts[/quote]
