Where is this?  Who is enforcing this?  I do think the Midwest seems to have more rules about ToTing.  I grew up in Northern Va and we've always just gone out at dusk and come home around 8pm.  Always on 10/31.  No rules.[/quote]

+1. Why do we need a rule to govern every aspect of our lives. My neighbor is also encouraging me to put my house on the online "TOT Map." Not gonna do it friend. I DGAF if kids come to my house or not. My own long time experience here in MoCo is that trick or treating starts at dusk with the little kids. Most older kids wait until it is dark.[/quote]

I think some towns post hours for the same reason these threads are always created in October. To set out general guidelines. They aren’t enforced in any way.[/quote]
