[/quote] Two very different things. The Property tax is directly going to support your local services. Yes it's based on the value of your home, but it is a tax to support local services that everyone needs (or should want to be good in the area---good schools benefit everyone---I kind of like the concept of an educated population so I will happily continue to support that even though I don't have school aged kids). If you eliminate PT you have to find the money somewhere. I like roads to drive on, Firetrucks/ambulances/Police to come in a timely manner if I call 911 [/quote]
