OP was just venting about something that annoys the majority of people posting here. I do agree that all you have to do is say a polite, "No thanks" to any request and go about your business. That's what I do. I also do the same for requests for my phone number or email, "Sorry, I don't give that out." While a 10% off coupon might be nice I am not loyal to any particular merchandiser so it's of no real value to me. Keeping my contact info as private as possible is worth more. What does annoy me is when I've politely told the clerk "No thanks" and they continue to badger me. One clerk confessed to me that corporate requires them to ask 3 times. Usually, after the first time I've said no thanks, I just ignore them and don't respond at all. They usually get the hint. [/quote]
