+1 I am also in Florida - in Tampa Bay actually. The Tampa area is blue, by the way - and we have mayors who are working on climate resilience. But it's not easy or fast. It's unreal, that said, that we are getting another one while we are nowhere near even starting to recover from the last one.

At least this guy isn't in charge.

And you know what— hurricanes don’t care how you vote, despite what MTG is saying on Twitter about the Biden Admin “directing” hurricanes to red areas. I expect a federal bailout for a onetime, unforeseen disaster. WNC certainly counts. I’m tired of bailing out the same cities and homeowners over and over, subsidizing their flood insurance, etc. Red or Blue.  After the federal government has bailed you out 2-3 times, you need to pay for repairs yourself, buy insurance and pay through the nose (if you can), or move.

That said, I do support tax credits for relocating and/hardening buildings and homes against climate change. [/quote]
