This was my thought too. The DD wants her own friends there and your BFF didn’t want to hurt your feelings. She should’ve been honest with you but maybe she thought you’d then be upset with her DD. Or the DD’s MIL has some beef with you, like unbeknownst to you, you stole her boyfriend in college and you don’t remember her. Or some other reason. It hurts but try not to take it personally. If your friendship with your BFF is solid, then give her grace and let it go. People have all kinds of reasons that may have nothing to do with us. [/quote]
