They probably knew all the kids who were on the teams last year and returning to try out again. I don't think that's odd. In our son's age group, McLean only had two teams and they were not strong so either they aren't attracting good players to their tryouts or they are not selecting the strongest players. [/quote]

Pp here. We have gone to other tryouts for AAU around the DMV. Talent at the AAU tryouts is stronger.[b] Demographics also very different in McLean vs other areas in the DMV[/b].[/quote]
