Really?! His edge was due to railing against the system and the man because he grew up poor in a trailer park with a bad childhood and had to scrap his way out and he found a way to survive and a way out of his scrappy street life through rap. Once he “made it big” then he made bank and all the prior things he had to complain about disappeared. More money = far fewer problems and then once you’re living large in the lap of luxury with every door open to you, it looks fake and disingenuous to keep rapping about your crappy life and how “hard” you are and how difficult life is. But since “edge” and hardness is his brand, he has to keep appealing to this as his story and maybe it just doesn’t ring true anymore since that’s no longer his life. [/quote]
