The issue here OP was you were not involved in the choosing or planning.  You left it up to her and then complained it sounds like the whole time.

You sound like you had high and unrealistic expectations, did absolutely no work in the research or planning, and then complained about everything.  If I was your SIL, I would say then leave.  Flyer home on your own at the next port.

DH complained about something on a cruise, who BTW does nothing in planning travel.  Well then DS and I can go do the excursion and DH can sulk in the room.  Better he not come and sulk and whine and be downer the whole day and ruined our day.  We had a lovely day without him.  [/quote]
